Technical Staff
NZ HEALTH International has
access to a number of highly qualified and experienced technical staff
who can provide the necessary support for the design, implementation and
evaluation of health promotion and health education projects. Below are
examples of the range of technical expertise:

Glenn Laverack has
worked in health promotion, public health and community
development for more than twenty years in Africa, Asia and the
Pacific regions. He has an MSc in health education and his Ph.D.
is in health promotion which investigated the accommodation of
community empowerment within top-down programming in rural
Fijian communities. He has a wide range of publications on
health promotion, public health and community based issues.

Dr Vili Nosa completed his B.A degree majoring in Sociology and
Education at the University of Auckland and his M.A. (Hons) in
Sociology and a PhD in Behavioural Science also from the
University of Auckland. Dr Nosa is involved a number of research
projects regarding Pacific people and his area of interest is
mainly in qualitative research methodologies. Dr Nosa has an
in-depth understanding of community issues in Pacific
populations and a number of key publications. |

Sheryl Jensen is the
Managing Director of Captive Communications Ltd a company that
produces online and offline media that delivers results. Sheryl
has worked with NZ Health International Limited in the
development of an interactive CD-ROM for empowerment in the area
of Maternal and New Born Health. Captive Communications Ltd
provided the expertise in the design of the CD and will continue
to work on future media and visual communication projects.
